Life @ St. Philip's

We may not have a Vicar at the moment but we are very much alive and open for business! St Philip's is the Parish Church for the community and is here to meet people's needs and to provide opportunities for worship and prayer.

Our main service is on Sunday at 10.45am. This is a Communion Service with hymns, readings and prayers. We have a regular congregation of 14-16 people including a small group of children.

On the fourth Sunday of the month we have started a shorter, more informal Family Service with Communion. Children are encouraged to play a full part in this service and it is a good opportunity to see what happens in church if you are not used to attending services.

Several times a year we hold a Messy Church aimed at families with younger children (3-10 yrs). This is an informal gathering with activities and a chance to share a simple meal. Our next Messy Church will be on Saturday, 5 October 2019 and will be part of our Harvest Celebrations.

Our Harvest Festival will take place on Sunday, 6 October 2019 and will hopefully be followed by a Harvest Lunch. This event is open to all. Tickets for the Harvest Lunch will be available from church throughout September 2019.

If you are interested in discussing a Wedding, Christening or Funeral, please contact our Associate Priest, Fr Michael Futers.
