Aspire Wrestling Alliance

Aspire is part of the new St Mark's Community Centre which is based at St Mark's church on Francis Street. It's aim is to provide professional wrestling training and opportunity to the people of that area and other parts of Derby as well as running professional shows at Community Venues across the city. They aim to use the art of Wrestling to provide opportunity and development for many people both inside and outside of the ring as well as providing entertainment on our shows. They run this as part of the wider project at St Mark's which is to support local people with opportunity and a community hub and with a particular focus upon supporting those with mental health issues. The trainers are both DBS Checked and fully qualified first aiders, and are supported by and directly working with a number of other organisations of which more detail will be on St Mark's Community Centre page.

Revive's Pantry Appeal

Revive’s Pantry Appeal has been established to help local residents by distributing new and unwanted goods, to residents on a reduced income. The Pantry is only available to households, or individuals, who can demonstrate that they live in Derwent and are in receipt of key state benefits. A strict appointment system is in place every Wednesday and Friday afternoons between 12.30-5.00 pm. Residents can obtain further information, and make appointments, by contacting the Revive Centre on 01332 288700.

The Pantry’s stock is sourced from a variety of businesses as well as the Inkind Charity. So the project relies on local traders and organisations to donate unwanted stock and raise for funds for the initiative. Any organisation that can therefore help to sustain or develop the Pantry is asked to contact Revive on 01332 288700 or email: revivepantryappeal@hotmail.co.uk.
